End of the US blockade against Cuba demanded in Australia
Canberra, 1st April, 2023. On Saturday, 1st April, an activity of solidarity with Cuba was held in the Australian capital as part of the efforts of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Association (ACFS) to continue supporting the Cuban people in the midst of the escalation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against the island by the government of the United States.

The emotional event was enlivened with Cuban music and diverse songs, among which the interpretation of the famous Cuban song "La Guantanamera" stood out.

The Cuban Ambassador in Canberra thanked the sustained support of the solidarity movement in Australia, and highlighted the relevance of the work of the movement for the strengthening of relations between the two peoples.

During the activity, funds were raised for the William Soler Pediatric Hospital, as part of a solidarity project developed by the ACFS in Canberra.
