Cuba's president blasts 'interventionist' U.S. amid protests over shortages

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel blasted the U.S. as “interventionist” and for having "contempt" toward the Cuban people and the Cuban revolution in an interview with NBC News in Havana on Tuesday.

"A resounding victory! The cynical, lying and slanderous imperial discourse is as immoral, shameless and obsolete as the criminal blockade," said Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, after the results of the voting in the United Nations against the unilateral policy were announced.
